Are You Acknowledging God in Your Work?

In like Luke 12:8 we read:
“I
tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men - the Son of
God will acknowledge him before the angels of God."
While you may be familiar with this verse have you ever thought
about how it applies to you online business?
There are a couple of different ways you can put this verse into
practice as you plan out and run your business.
The first and most obvious way is to develop a business oriented
towards Christian products. There is a tendency to refrain from
any Christian type of business for 2 main reasons.
First there is a concern about offending people. My attitude is
- why worry. There will always be people who are offended for a
variety of reasons. If you are concerned about this are you
"acknowledging Jesus before men" as we are asked to do?
Not everybody will appreciate your message. I certainly
understand this. I struggled with this as I wrote "The
Biblical Guide to Internet Riches". But I decided spreading
the message contained in the book to those thirsty for a Bible
based path to internet success far outweighed any negative
feedback that might occur.
The second reason is that there is perhaps a concern that if you
gear your business towards Christians there will be nobody to
sell anything to. This cannot be further from the truth. Do you
think Christians are some group of people that never get on the
Internet to buy anything? Don't believe me? Just type in some
Christian type products or interests and see how many websites
come up.
The key to success selling to Christians or any other group for
that matter is knowing your niche - know the specific market you
are selling to. Whether you are selling to gardeners, weight
lifters or Christians for that matter, you have to know the
products they are interested in. Don't be discouraged from
focusing on the Internet market for Christians.
But what if you are not interested in selling products to
Christians. Maybe you have an interest in bird watching, Multi
Level Marketing or something else? The Internet is awesome for
that reason - there are as many ways to build a successful
business as there are people interested in building a business.
If this is the case you can still "acknowledge Jesus before
man". You can do this by conducting your business in an honest
and Christian manner. Be truthful in all you do, treat your
customers with dignity and respect and conduct your finances as
outlined in "The
Biblical Guide to Internet Riches".
Always keep Luke 12:8 in mind as you plan and build your
business. If you can be assured you will be achieving Success
His way.
Finally,
heed the advice of St
Paul in his letter to the Philippians 4:8 where he tells us:
“Finally, my brothers, your thoughts should be wholly directed to all
that is true, all that deserves respect, all that is honest,
pure admirable, decent, virtuous or worthy of praise.”
